Domaine des Hautes Fagnes is your ideal choice for a relaxing getaway. With 70 rooms and suites that ensure comfort amid the natural beauty, this resort caters to both leisure seekers and business travellers with its modern amenities. We stayed in the Suite 118, an amazing (and huge) room with all the elements to make your stay memorable: A comfy bed, beautiful bathroom with bubble bath, and a separate lounge. But this suite proposes something unique that we never saw before. Upon check-in you will receive 2 coins that you can insert next to the bed. What happens next is a complete immersion into nature with sounds, lights and a huge vertical screen in front of the bed that shows local nature. A must do!

The alpacas, with their gentle eyes and soft, fluffy coats, were a joy to be around. Their calm demeanor made them perfect walking companions. Each alpaca had its own distinct personality, and they seemed just as curious about us as we were about them.
Our guide, a knowledgeable staff member from the hotel Domaine des Hautes Fagnes, led us along well-trodden paths, explaining the habits and habitats of these fascinating creatures as we walked. The rolling landscape of the Hautes Fagnes provided a serene backdrop, with sweeping views of undulating hills and the distant hum of wildlife. It felt like a pause from the rush of everyday life, a moment to connect with nature in an intimate, unusual way.

Our Experience
The Hotel Domaine des Hautes Fagnes was already a long time on our To-Do list, so the expectations were high, but it did certainly not disappoint. The hotel is surrounded by natural beauty, with lots of hikes in the area. But we did not even go for a hike since there is so much to do in the hotel. You can spend literally hours in the huge indoor and outdoor spa, or enjoy a well deserved massage. We also loved the fact that you can choose to have dinner in 2 different restaurants.
The highlight of our stay was actually the Alpaga walk, which we had to abort early due to the bad weather. The walk was actually really relaxing and the 'guide' gave us lots of information about the Alpagas. Good to know is that these Alpagas are really taken care of and they have a huge domain next to the hotel.
