Nestled in the scenic town of Montzen in eastern Belgium, Kindadom (Les Doms d'Alfred) is a magical place that offers an enchanting experience for families seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. General information
Kindadom is a former water tank converted in a unique holiday home that can accommodate up to 14 people: 6 adults and 8 children (3 rooms and 3 bathrooms). It is fully equipped with all the amenities and comforts of home, but with amazing facilities such as different slides, an indoor swimming pool, garden & terrace with barbecue, a home cinema and a game room. When you will see the building from the outside, you will never believe the space you can find inside.
Food & Drinks
Let's talk breakfast first. Les Dom's d'Alfred proposes a delicious breakfast with amazing local products for breakfast (chocolate, jams, honey, sugar, spread, cocoa powder, bulk cereals) in collaboration with a small grocery store in the region. The only thing you need to do is to get some bread or pastries.
Les Dom's d'Alfred also proposes a 'Raclette' Pack that includes Raclette cheese, salad and potatoes. We have tried this as well and everything was absolutely delicious.
The Kindadom is equipped with a fully functional kitchen where guests can prepare their own meals. There are also several supermarkets and restaurants in the nearby town of Montzen.
Activities
As mentioned, guests can enjoy the facilities of the holiday home such as the swimming pool, game room with arcade games, indoor cinema and the outdoor playground. Above that, Les Dom's d'Alfred proposes 2 different treasure hunts (depending on the age) that will keep your children busy for a while 😀.
In the region you can enjoy different hikes, visit Forestia or the Abbey of Val-Dieu.
Practical information
Price ranges between €30 and €70 per person per night and there is a minimum stay of 2 nights. The holiday home is not wheelchair accessible.
Kindadom is easily accessible by car and there is ample parking on site, with Electric charging station. The holiday home is available for rent year-round, and reservations can be made online through their website. Linens and towels are provided.
Our experience
We can tell you this: This holiday home must be on your list! The interior and decoration of this house is beautifully designed and every space or corner is optimized. The children's room is unique of its kind with beds, ladders and hammocks. The Kindadom is also very inspiring for adults, and it will throw you back into childhood. We've stayed here for 2 nights, but could easily enjoyed as much if we would stay for a whole week. There is so much to do inside the house, but also in the region. Kindadom: we hope to come back one day 😀
