What we like best about autumn ? The beautiful colours of the trees, the cosy evenings, but of course also the return of the many light festivals. The magical light walks have been on the rise since 2020 and we like to make a list for this season. We will of course keep this list updated if new light festivals are added. 1. Harry Potter: A forbidden forest
Fan of Harry Potter and light walks? You won't want to miss this one! The magical light walk is inspired by the Forbidden Forest and passes by the Groenenberg domain in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw. Immerse yourself in a fabulous world of wizards.
📅: 5/11/22 - 15/12/22 but can be extended to 5/02/23
📍: Sint-Pieters-Leeuw
Distance: Unknown, but the walk takes about 45-75 minutes
💰: €45 for adults and €30 for children (if <5 years old = free entry). The later the chosen time, the cheaper (from €29 per adult).
2. De Grote Schijn
The province of Antwerp also has its own light walk, De Grote Schijn is back for a tantalizing tour through the dark. Discover this magical light and sound spectacle on the outskirts of the city.

3. Lightopia
From 18 November, the entire castle grounds of Groot-Bijgaarden will transform into a dream world that combines light installations with a water show. By the way, this is the first time the award-winning light and lantern festival Lightopia is coming to our country, after previous successful editions in the UK.

4. Winter Glow Light Experience trail
During Winter Glow (Christmas Market) in Bruges, you can also discover a wonderful light experience walk, so time to head to Bruges for another weekend. Discover magically lit squares, and monuments and then enjoy a delicious mulled wine in 1 of the cosy winter bars.

5. Lanterna Magica
Lanterna Magica is an enchanting walk through the Solvay Regional Domain. Discover a symphony of light and sound in a fairytale setting. We visited this light walk last year and were hugely excited!
